I went ahead and decided to live dangerously by installing the latest "build" of subtext and wouldn't you know it, it truncates comments at around 16 characters.  So I went ahead and disabled comments for now.  Hopefully they'll have it fixed soon and I've done my part by submitting a bug report for it.  I must admit that I find the whole SourceForge experience a little overwhelming, which is what the subtext project team is using.

While I'm here I might as well share one nice feature of the new version.  You can assign keywords to URLs and they automatically populate.  For example I assigned BOTW to be "Best of the Web Directory" pointing at http://botw.org.  We'll see if it works when I submit the post.  It would definitely save a lot of time since I probably will refer to BOTW quite often in my posting.
