In other words, yeah, I spent some time surfing the mobile web with Openwave's simulator.  What a pain it was too.

Ask.com rolled out their mobile site and google has theirs, so perhaps BOTW would benefit from one as well.  I question the viability of any site on such a cumbersome platform, but at the very least sometimes technology for its own sake whets the creative appetite to actually come up with something that is usable, makes money, or that someone is willing to pay for.

Ask links their results to sqweezer.net so that when you "click thru" to a standard website on your mobile device, they squeeze it down into something consumable.

You can check out what happens to BOTW.  You guessed it:  freshly squozen BOTW.  I think navigating through a site on my phone would probably give me blisters on my thumb/fingers, take forever, and probably just make me generally cranky.  I don't understand what these people do who refer to their Blackberry devices as "crackberry's" because they're addicted to them.  Do you have special anti-blister gloves or what?   The good news is the blackberry has a larger screen, so it may not be that unreasonable to think that someone might want to sit under a tree in the park or on the plane and surf the web on their blackberry. 

Back in my day, if you wanted to talk to your friend in class, you'd pass a note.  You wouldn't whip out your phone and say "How R U" in a text message.  "C U L8R".  So perhaps its simple acne'd teens that are driving this whole craze.  All you Macgyver, Knight Rider, and A-Team watchers out there might not be into this stuff, but your kids probably will be.  The smaller the better.  Its not "cool" to tote your laptop around, even if it is hot pink.  But a phone that matches your purse and outfit and is 1/16 inches thick.  That's hot.
