According to the official gravatar blog, we're now seconds away from being able to have a globally recognized avatar.  According to the folks at gravatar.com, "A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an 80×80 pixel avatar image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites." I tried signing up but it errored out on me.  Bummer.  Of course I've never had a gravatar before.  Some folks have it worse than me apparently.  Like the guy who said "Can’t wait! My gravatar still shows my ex girlfriend and I really want to get her out of there…"   Now that's entertainment!
