My dinner is usually like VB.net.  It's kind of sloppy with elbows on the table shovelling food mostly into my mouth with some grunting -- anything I spill, I'll clean up later.  I do have option strict set so there are a few rules I have to follow, but still, it's very informal.  C# is like the formal dinner party.  It's case sensitive so you can't eat your salad with your dinner fork or your dinner with your salad fork, even though they're both forks.   The problem is, one of these days I'm going to go to the formal dinner party and start shovelling food in with my elbows on the table.  Oops!  I already started typing semi colons at the end of my VB statements.  Unrecognized character.  What?
