Taking a lesson from Jared, I decided to do some gaming. Once I get that raise *cough*, perhaps I will purchase an XBOX 360 for the sole purpose of fragging his pompous ass back to kingdom come. In the meanwhile, I am perfectly content playing catch-up on my recently-aquired-at-low-cost PlayStation 2. For $130 or less, it didn't take much convincing to get one. Furthermore, I was googling for some "must haves" to play on it and I stumbled upon God of War. At $18 on Amazon, that too was a steal compared to the $40-$60 that games typically cost. Let me just tell you, this thing is awesome - especially if you have a big widescreen HDTV. The game has a widescreen setting, and the graphics are top notch all things considered. There is very little I don't like about this game. Its got a full orchestral soundtrack with plenty of epic choral singing and chanting. The plot is extremely engaging and there are endless spectacular ways of killing and being killed. I haven't had this much fun in a game in a while. The good news is that there's a sequel out (at the unfortunate aforementioned price of $49.99, but hey, I'm in no rush). If you like smashing bad guys into oblivion, then go get yourself some. Its great stress relief and the violence is off the scale. So, in conclusion: Great Graphics + Epic Orchestral Soundtrack + Extremely Engaging Plot = Die, !@#$%**, Die!
